Terms for using the free converter
These terms describe the current public Pic to ASCII tool. Last updated July 22, 2026.
Use of the service
Pic to ASCII provides a free browser tool that converts supported local images into text. You are responsible for having the right to use the source images you select and for how you publish or distribute the resulting ASCII art.
No account or paid entitlement
The current service does not create accounts, sell subscriptions or promise storage, uptime, support response times or future features. Access may change as the product is improved, but unavailable features are not part of these terms.
Output and availability
ASCII output depends on the selected image, browser rendering, font, width and character set. The service is provided as available, without a guarantee that every image will decode or that the output will appear identical in every terminal, editor or social platform.
Responsible use
Do not use the service to violate law, intellectual-property rights or the rights of other people. Do not attempt to disrupt the site or misrepresent generated output as an endorsement by Pic to ASCII.
